About Me
Hi, I’m Woojung Hwang—a San Jose‑based Graphic & UX/UI Designer who believes that great design should do two things at once: look beautiful and make life easier.
What I Do
For the past several years I’ve moved fluidly between brand identity, marketing collateral, and product design, turning fuzzy ideas into clear, compelling experiences. One day I might be refining a responsive web layout in Figma; the next I’m animating micro‑interactions in After Effects or polishing typography for a print piece. No matter the medium, my goal is always the same: tell a story users can feel and navigate intuitively.
How I Work
- Research first – I dig into user goals, data, and competitive landscapes before sketching a single line.
- Iterate fast – Low‑fidelity wireframes, rapid prototypes, and frequent feedback cycles keep projects nimble.
- Pixel‑perfect craft – From color theory to kerning, details matter; they build trust and elevate brands.
- Cross‑functional spirit – I love collaborating with product managers, engineers, and marketers to turn constraints into creative springboards.
Tools & Tech
Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, After Effects, Premiere), Webflow, Miro, Jira, and just enough HTML/CSS to speak dev.
A Few Highlights
- Award‑winning campaigns for national health initiatives (Hermes & MarCom Awards).
- Design systems concept that blended chatbot guidance with community features for kids’ art classes.
- Interactive learning platform concept that blended chatbot guidance with community features for kids’ art classes.
Why I Design
Design is my way of bridging empathy and logic—listening to real human needs, then shaping visuals and flows that feel almost effortless. When a user says, “Oh, that was easy,” I know the work is doing its job.Outside the pixel grid you’ll find me exploring local galleries, tinkering with motion graphics tutorials, or hunting for the perfect cortado.
Let’s create something meaningful together.
